The car's story

Why I bought it

Dream car of dream cars since official release in 2008. Showcased in iron man movies double down the idea of owning an R8. Hunting for over 2 years for the perfect spec I came across one through backend channels at a dealer in Oklahoma. Went over the spec sheet and it was a done deal. 2018 Audi R8 V10 Plus custom ordered for Trey Young when he entered the NBA with no expense spared being what I was told “highest specd R8 for the year”. MSRP over over $220k In 2018 there was only 339 V10 plus models made for the USA at which this R8 was the only one painted in florrett Matte Silver (Audi exclusive color) and the only R8 across the entire year to have custom painted side blades from factory in Ara Matte Blue to match the Ara blue stitching on the black interior. (I was able to acquire the Audi manufacturer numbers chart from 2018 plus models specifically and it holds a 1 of 1 order slot) On delivery day it was delivered the wrong location, my house and not my business. Driving up to my driveway and seeing it sitting there I quickly realized I never seen a Gen 2 in person, never sat in one or test drove one. Initial reaction it’s perfect, and to this day remains the same feeling. Couldn’t not be happier with car and when they talk about reliability I beat the living hell out of her and she just keeps pulling. It’s seen over 200 on the track and gone on 8 hour road trips. It’s meant to be driven and will own it for the rest of my life… or until I wrap it around a pole… then I’d get the exact same car again! I love working on the car personally so all parts, wrap, design work is done by me. I have taken ever body panel off the car and put back on and couldn’t love the process of a true hands on build more. There is something to be said for building and working your own car!
